The family-owned Hótel Lækur is set on an Icelandic horse farm, 10 minutes’ drive from Hella. It offers a sun terrace, guest TV lounge and horse riding activities. The bright, modern rooms feature wooden floors and private bathrooms. Some include either a terrace or balcony. The surrounding views take in the Hekla and Eyjafjallajökull volcanoes. A 3-course set menu is served in Lækur Hótel’s summer restaurant. Meals during the winter can be ordered in advance. Guests may be lucky enough to experience the Northern Lights during their stay. Seljalandsfoss Waterfall is within 25 minutes’ drive, while Skógafoss Waterfall is a further 20 minutes away. Reykjavík is 100 km from Hótel Lækur.
